Electronic Visa Requirements to Travel from Switzerland to India

India is well-known throughout the world for its wonderful ancient history, mythology, and status as one of the oldest cultures ever. Everything that reflects culture is beautiful, including handicrafts and looms, palaces, forts, and monuments, lively and colorful festivals, dance, classical music, and clothing.

Everything is unusual and fascinating to study, observe, and experience. One of the things that contributes to India's great culture is the customs that are upheld, which come from the ancient scriptures.

Wildlife in India includes a wide variety of species from various ecosystems and is abundant in exotic sanctuaries, tiger reserves, and habitats for snow animals. The nation is renowned for its diverse wildlife, which includes amphibians, mammals, reptiles, fish, and other species from marshy places, dry sand dunes, cold snow, and water.

The Bengal Tiger, antelope, Asiatic lions, Chital, enormous elephants, etc. are among its famed inhabitants. These animal refuges and national parks are dispersed throughout a vast area and offer visitors a variety of activities, including car safaris, occasionally elephant safaris, and canter rides. The wildlife safaris in India provide a lot to see.

Prior to entering India, Swiss citizens must get a visa. In 2014, India adopted electronic visas, allowing people of 169 nations, including Swiss nationals, to apply online for a tourist, medical, or business eVisa.

If the applicant has access to the internet, applying for an India visa is an easy and quick process that can be finished from anywhere in the world in under 15 minutes.

You require India e-Tourist Visa or Indian Visa Online to witness the amazing places and experiences as a foreign tourist in India. Alternatively, you could be visiting India on an India e-Business Visa and want to do some recreation and sightseeing in India. The Indian Immigration Authority encourages visitors to India to apply for Indian Visa Online rather than visiting Indian Consulate or Indian Embassy.

What Are Some Places In India That A Swiss Tourist Can Visit?

India is one of those countries that, due to its rich traditionalism and never-ending surprises, ends up on every traveler's bucket list. They might have daydreamed about traveling to other Rajasthani royal palaces or seeing the Taj Mahal in all its splendor by traveling to Agra. Others are drawn to Rishikesh, the ethereal city, the quiet Darjeeling region, and the lovely Goa beaches.

The major cities of the country, such as Kolkata, New Delhi, and Mumbai, each have unique characteristics. Touring the crowded streets, stores, and temples of India's largest cities is never boring. Choosing what to see and where to travel is the most difficult aspect of organizing a trip to India. Plan your trip to India with us, whether you are going on an extended camping trip or a lavish vacation.

McLeod Ganj

Did you know that a journey to India can include a stop at the Dalai Lama's residence? The Tsuglagkhang complex, a monastery community in the hill town of McLeod Ganj, is home to the base of the Tibetan spiritual leader.

Monks can be seen vehemently debating one another in the center courtyard most afternoons. Make your way around the complex to witness the temple and throne where the Dalai Lama gives his teachings, as well as pilgrims (many of whom are in exile from Tibet) spinning prayer wheels and bowing in prayer. On-site, there is a tiny Tibet Museum that provides visitors with a more in-depth insight of the suffering Tibetans go through as a result of Chinese occupation through moving photo displays and a video.

McLeod Ganj is definitely worth a visit just for the Tsuglagkhang complex, but you may also explore Dharamsala's other tourist destinations. At the Norbulingka Institute, you may observe artists practicing and teaching ancient Tibetan arts like thangka painting and woodcarving. To get views of the impressive Dhauladhar mountain range, hike the nine-kilometer Triund Hill. Additionally, stop at the Bhagsunag Temple en route to the Bhagsu Waterfalls to witness the old sacred pools that are said to have healing water.

Andaman Islands

If you want a traditional beach holiday, head to India's Andaman Islands. You may enjoy the turquoise seas of the Andaman Sea, pastel-hued sunsets, powder-white sand beaches lined with coconut palms, and tangled forest vistas. There is no way a postcard could do justice to the majesty of this breathtaking location.

Those who desire to visit one of the few dozen islands that are accessible to tourists may have difficulties due to its extremely remote location, which is closer to Indonesia than to mainland India. A domestic flight will be necessary from a large Indian city like Chennai, New Delhi, or Mumbai. Alternatively, you may risk taking one of the lengthy ferries across the Bay of Bengal.

But sometimes the payoff is well worth the effort. You'll witness rare birds and get the opportunity to see thriving coral reefs while having virtually exclusive access to some of India's best beaches. People who love culture and history will also enjoy exploring the slowly disappearing Victorian British ruins on Ross Island.
